We met many mums during the development of forparentsbyparents and they all felt that we should include a section that covered their experiences of giving birth.

Initially we've split the section into these sections:

• birth plans - one mums experience of the power of using a birth plan;
• doulas - what is a Doulas,and how do they work;
• the birthing experience - an article sharing the feedback we've received from mums about their birthing experiences;
• water births - one mum share the story of her first home water birth;
• home births - home birth information and support;
• Placenta Accreta - one mum's personal story of coping with and surviving this rare complication of giving birth;
• support links - were we've included links to a number of organisations that offer information and support on matters relating to giving birth.
