	Do not take any medication unless prescribed by your doctor
	Check to see whether you have had a rubella injection or are rubella immune
	Eat a balanced diet which includes five portions of fruit and vegetables a day
	Avoid liver, soft cheese, uncooked eggs such as boiled eggs, shellfish, and undercooked or cured meats
	Wash all fruit and vegetables carefully, including pre-packed salads
	Avoid drinking any alcohol especially in the first twelve weeks
	Do not use any recreational or street drugs - get help if this is hard for you.
	Give up smoking if you can, or at least cut right down
	Avoid changing cats' litter tray or wear gloves and wash hands afterwards.
	Use gloves if doing any gardening
	Rest when you feel tired or sick
