About us

ForParentsbyParents.com was created in 2001 by two parents who wanted to provide an honest web site for other parents. The site continues to be run by parents who believe that collectively parents are the best source of support to each other.

The site wants to be honest about what being a parent is really like and to talk about the important issues of being a parent, not just the trivia.

We feel that so much parental information does not actually relate to real life! This can be both frustrating and annoying when you need to express how you feel or find some help with a problem and can find no real avenue to do so.

From visitors comments to the site we have found the greatest and most valuable support has come from other parents.

We are not negative about parenthood; it is a brilliant experience in so many ways. We do feel however that there would be a lot to be gained from acknowledging that it also has its low points.

The ForParentsByParents web site was born out of the realisation that through the Internet parents could support one another on a much wider scale and that the site could be used to tackle the more challenging and sometimes taboo aspects of becoming and being a parent.

We want the site to provide a forum for parents to share their own experiences of parenting. If you have something to contribute to one of the existing sections or would like us to add something new please email us at contributions@forparentsbyparents.co.uk.

If you would like to be kept informed of new features or promotions please join the site. Registration

Our recent website re-design was created by KioskBaby.
